Atlanta, GA — (June 27, 2016) — The 20th Anniversary United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters winged sprint cars invade Diamond Park Speedway in Nashville, Arkansas as headliners of the 4th annual “Duel at the Diamond” sprint car speed spectacular with FIREWORKS on Sunday, July 3rd.at 8:00 pm. Sprint car drivers from at least five states are expected for the series seventeenth event of the 2016 season.
With nearly $20,000 in “Duel at the Diamond” prize money posted, the winner of the USCS Sprint Car A-Main will receive a $2000 payday.
Expected USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour entries include 2012 USCS National Champion, Tim Crawley from Benton, Arkansas who has won every USCS contest at Diamond Park Speedway. Also entered is 11-time United Sprint Car Series National Champion, Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee and defending (2015) USCS National Champion and fan favorite female sprint car driver Morgan Turpen from Cordova, Tennessee. Also expected is 2013 USCS National Champ Derek Hagar and past series Champion Marshall Skinner, both are from Marion, Arkansas
Crawley’s victories at Diamond Park Speedway came on consecutive annual visits by the series during 2013, 2014 and 2015. Hagar, Turpen, Gray and Crawley were all four ranked among the top twenty-five drivers in the Nation in the 2015 National Sprint Car Hall of Fame 360 Sprint Car “Driver of the Year” rankings out of over 3000 drivers considered.
Morgan Turpen is the Nation’s top ranked female sprint car driver. She was the 2010 USCS National” Rookie of the Year” Turpen is currently ranked in the runner-up position in the National point standings and in the USCS Southern Thunder Tour regional point standings. She has eight career UCS victories and has never finished worse than fourth in the USCS National point standings.The versatile twenty-three year old was the 2014 USCS Hoosier Asphalt Series Champion.
Sensational seventeen-year-old 2015 USCS “Rookie of the Year” Nick Snyder from Marco Island, Florida is also expected to be in the field. Snyder ranks third in the USCS National point standings coming into Sunday’s event. The impressive Florida young gun already has won a main event last season and had his second best run of the 2015 season at Diamond Park Speedway when he followed Tim Crawley across the finish line in the runner-up spot after challenging the veteran for the lead late in the race several times.
A full field of winged sprint car drivers is expected including a number of top entries from Arkansas and the surrounding states and even as far away as Florida.
The busy racing card features special events in every other division competing including a whopping $1000 to the winner of the popular Street Stock division. The Factory Stocks will race for a healthy top prize of $750. The Front Wheel Drive Four Cylinder class chases $400 to the winner’s circle.
In addition to those three DPS weekly racing divisions the Diamond State Mod-Lites are expected to bring a talented field of drivers to the speedway for their segment of the Holiday weekend special event on Sunday night.

Four weekly Diamond Park Speedway stock car divisions will add to the action by going wheel to wheel and fender to fender for cash and glory as well. Those stock car divisions include the Pure Stock, Factory Stock, Street Stock and Novice classes. Holiday fireworks are also on the program to help celebrate our country’s 240th birthday.
Nearly $20,000 is posted in guaranteed prize money during the fourth year event. The action-packed racing card includes drivers contesting nearly 200 laps of racing action with 100+ laps of main event finals.
