TULSA, Okla. (July 20, 2016) After Mother Nature made work of events at the Deep South Speedway in Loxley, Ala. on July 16, track and series officials were quick to reset the schedule to include it on this coming weekend’s lineup with the Toccoa Raceway in Toccoa, Ga.
With a southern double header now in place, Deep South Speedway will see action with the Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints on Friday, July 22 with the Toccoa Raceway in Toccoa, Ga. on Saturday, July 23.
Shaping up to be rounds 12 and 13 on the 2016 lineup, Brian Bell stood in Victory Lane in the series first visit to the Deep South Speedway on March 5.
Another track with a debut weekend this season, the Toccoa Raceway has been serving the local racefan’s passion going on 61 years, the track labeled as “The Fastest 1,650 Feet of Dirt in Georgia” is a mainstay for Late Model and Stock Car divisions.
In a look at results from the Toccoa Raceway, current Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprint point’s leader, Michael Miller, has topped action at the Georgia oval; earning a win in 2014 in USCS competition.
Off the series Flip/Flop 50, Miller’s advantage in the standings stands at 63 over Shane Morgan with Kyle Amerson trailing by 143. Fourth is Joey Schmidt with Ryan Moore making up the top-five in tour standings.
Friday, July 22 at Deep South Speedway will see gates opening at 6:00 P.M. with Hot Laps at 7:00 P.M. Other classes on the lineup include Pure Stocks, Street Stocks, and Hobby Stocks. Admission for the Friday affair is $20 with kids 6-12 getting in for $10. Children five and under are free. Pit Passes are $35.
