JACKSON, Minn. — (July 25, 2016) — Jackson Motorplex will host its highest paying single-day show in the history of the track this Friday night during Abdo, Eick & Meyers, LLP Night.
The half-mile oval is paying the winner of the Spirit Lake Silver & Gold NSL 410 Sprint Cars with the National Sprint League main event $20,000 with the runner up receiving $10,000. The event also pays $1,000 to start.
Additionally, the Last-Deck® 360 Sprint Cars will have an increased purse of $2,000 to win and $300 to start for the Barb Wieskus Classic thanks to her family and sponsors supporting the longtime fixture at Jackson Motorplex. Liquid Nitro IMCA 305 Sprint Cars will be competing as well.
Craig Dollansky enters the event leading the Spirit Lake Silver & Gold NSL 410 Sprint Cars championship standings by 107 points over Danny Lasoski. Dollansky also holds a 33-point advantage over Lasoski in the National Sprint League standings.
Gregg Bakker has a 34-point lead in the Last-Deck® 360 Sprint Cars standings over Skylar Prochaska with Scott Winters only 41 points behind Bakker.
The chase for the Liquid Nitro IMCA 305 Sprint Car championship is one of the track’s most contested points battles this season as the top five drivers are separated by only 29 points. Mike Stien is the leader with Jesse Lindberg, Nate Eakin, Colin Smith and Kaleb Johnson ranked second through fifth, respectively.
Tickets for Friday are $25 for adult general admission, $22 for seniors ages 65 and older, $12 for students ages 13 to 18 and free for children ages 12 and younger. Pit passes are $35.
The pits are slated to open at 3 p.m. with the front gates opening at 5:30 p.m. Hot laps will begin around 7:30 p.m.
