Styres and Daggett Win During the Night Before the Nationals

Glenn Styres and Dustin Daggett were victorious on Saturday night during the Twin-15’s during the Night Before the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals at Ohsweken Speedway. By virtue of winning the features both Styres and Daggett are guaranteed a starting spot in Saturday’s $10,000 to win 35-lap Canadian Nationals Finale.

DAVEY POMBO WINS SOUTHWEST CONTRACTORS 360 CLASH TITLE

Last Saturday night, Hanford’s Giant Chevrolet Kings Speedway played host to the Jim Turner Memorial, the final event of the Southwest Contractors 360 Clash. The special four race mini-series with the USAC West Coast 360 Sprint Cars featured a top prize of $2500 for the championship. In the end, it all came down to two drivers and how they finished the 30-lap main event.

Austin McCarl – A Charge at the Richert!

The successes have continued the last two weeks for Austin McCarl. After finishing tenth in the final Knoxville Raceway 410 point standings, he ventured on to Huset’s Speedway for a solid sixth place finish. Last weekend, he competed at the Jerry Richert Memorial at the Cedar Lake Speedway near New Richmond, Wisconsin where he drove from 19th to 12th in the finale. This weekend, he’ll take on the World of Outlaws at the Clay County Fair Speedway in Spencer, Iowa before returning to South Dakota to compete on Sunday at Huset’s.

Carson McCarl – Sprint Car Debut!

Carson McCarl made his sprint car debut on Sunday, September 5, and it was an eye-opener. Before losing a driveshaft, the Altoona, Iowa 15 year old driver got to spin a few laps in a 305 sprinter. The DNF would put him tenth in the final order at the Bethany Fairgrounds in Bethany, Missouri. Tomorrow night, he’ll head to the 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa for his second outing in the TMAC Motorsports #97.
