Joey Saldana won the second night of All Star Circuit of Champions competition at Volusia Speedway Park. Craig Dollansky, Steve Kinser, Lucas Wolfe, and Sam Hafertepe, Jr. rounded out the top five.
It was the opening event for the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions Winter Nationals, so there was a bit of chill in the air but not enough to cool down the young guns and veteran drivers. On a night that looked as if the youth would out run experience, there was a cruel twist which sent a seasoned veteran to Victory Lane. The benefactor was Danny Lasoski who did not lead the most laps in the event, but he led the most important one that solidified his twenty-first O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions victory in Winter Nationals History.
Over 20 nights of racing are on tap for the Winged Outlaw Warriors in 2010. The season will open Saturday, April 10 at Mike White’s LA Raceway in LaMonte, MO. This will be the first of five appearances on the 3/8’s mile oval. The 360 WOW Sprints will be in action on ten Friday nights and ten Saturday nights are on the upcoming schedule.

Indianapolis based Shane Stewart secured his first Warrnambool Standard Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic victory tonight at Sungold Stadium in a brilliant race long duel with defending champ Brooke Tatnell. The pair traded slide jobs with the lead changing multiple times before Stewart raced to the win following a restart with nine laps remaining. West Australian ace Ryan Farrell finished third behind winner Stewart and runner up Tatnell.
Oklahoman Shane Stewart completed an awesome evening of racing on night one of the 38th running of the Warrnambool Standard Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic tonight. Tonight’s superb final provides an exciting setting for tomorrow’s feature as chasing Stewart to the line was fellow American Jason Johnson with Brooke Tatnell in third. The 25 lap Australian/American Challenge was lead away with Stewart getting the jump on Danny Smith who was the highest qualifier and began from pole. Jason Johnson, Brooke Tatnell, young gun James McFadden and Kerry Madsen were in hot pursuit but the leader soon opened a handy advantage.
