The Salem Speedway “Joe James/Pat O’Connor Memorial” will feature an exciting new twist in 2010 reports track management. The USAC National Sprint Car Series, a mainstay of the event for over 45 years, will be joined by the Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series for the 51st edition of the storied classic.
Two weekends in a row will be spent in Kemper Arena in Kansas City. Last weekend, Carson McCarl competed in the “No Bull Small Car Nationals” and this weekend, his father Terry will hop in Wayne Simmons’ midget for the “Twas the Midgets Before Christmas” event.
While it’s still over five months away, the date of Sunday, May 30, 2010 is circled on everyone at Tri-City Speedway’s calendar and is shaping up to be the biggest day in the 50-plus year storied history of the half-mile located in Franklin, Pennsylvania. After all, that’s the day that the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series will make their debut at the banked oval.
The official 2010 racing schedule for the Ocean Speedway 360 Winged Sprint Car Series has been announced today and features a total of 15 dates, with 13 of them being at the home track of Ocean Speedway, while a pair will be held outside of the quarter-mile bullring for the first time.

Someone once said that visionaries create the future! In December 2006 at a local restaurant, Dennis Wood shared his idea of bringing the “Copper on Dirt” to Manzanita Speedway. He told a tale of bringing USAC Sprint Cars, Midgets and Silver Crown cars to Arizona and only had five weeks to make it happen. On February 9th 2007, Dennis Woods, successfully ran the first “Copper on Dirt” with more than 130 cars participating in the two day event.
The 2010 racing schedule for the Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway has been released and shows one of the more diverse calendar of events the 1/3 mile clay oval has seen in recent years.
Promoters Paul and Kathy Hawes have penciled in some intriguing events onto the calendar for the 42nd season at Marysville Raceway Park. While some dates are still being jostled around to fit into the schedule just right, Paul Hawes has announced a Golden State King of California series event will be presented on Saturday July 24th. This will mark the first appearance of the state’s premiere 410 winged sprint cars series at MRP since 1998.
Starting from the outside of the front row, Todd Wanless led every lap of Saturday night’s twenty-five lap Feature event at Titan Garages Brisbane International Speedway to take the honours in Round 5 of the Qld Speedway Spares Series. The victory was Wanless’ first of the 2009/10 season.
