When Aaron Pierce returns for the 3rd annual “Southern Shootout”in three weeks, he will have a different perspective than in previous years. The Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series (MSRXSS) will open the 2014 season at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, FL on April 11 and return to Mobile International Speedway the following evening.

USSA Mel Kenyon Midget Series Returns to the Speedrome in 2014

The Ivy Tech Community College Indianapolis Speedrome® is proud to announce the return of the USSA Mel Kenyon Midget Series on two occasions in 2014. The Mel Kenyon Midget Series will be featured as a part of Opening Night on April 12th. Then, the June 7th race will be known as the Mel Kenyon Classic. This special event will honor the division namesake and man recognized worldwide as the “King of the Midgets”. The blockbuster Saturday April 12th evening showcase will also feature the Advance Auto Sales Late Models, Stocks, IndyAutoRecyclers.com Roadrunners, Hornets, Circle City Pyrotechnics Junior Faskarts, and Junior Hornets. The first green flag will wave at 7pm.

Port Royal Cancels March 21/22, Opening Day Now 5 PM March 29

The persistence of exceptionally cold nighttime air, the expected unseasonable cold air projected to move into the area on Sunday and the prospect for unneeded rain on Saturday has forced Port Royal Speedway officials to cancel both the March 21 practice session and the planned March 22 season opener.
