Jim Campbell, Jr. passes away following incident at Williams Grove

Jim Campbell, Jr. passed away on Friday night following an accident at Williams Grove Speedway. According to a statement released by Williams Grove the incident took place in turn three during hot laps. The remained of Friday night’s program was cancelled along with the Saturday night series program following the incident. Campbell was 45 years of age.

Rico Abreu has qualified for the FVP Knoxville Nationals A-Main but will not be participating in the final on Saturday night. Abreu has a prior commitment to the NASCAR K&N East Series at Motordrome Speedway on Saturday night and will not have time to make it back to Knoxville Raceway.
