Placerville Event Cancelled Due to Emergency Fire Camp
The management of Placerville Speedway has just received notice by county officials that the El Dorado County Fairgrounds will be unavailable for public use to be utilized for an emergency fire camp and evacuation center for the wildfire that is burning out of control and forcing evacuations in both Amador and El Dorado County.

Fremont Speedway Suffers First Rain Out of 2014
Just as the gates were getting ready to swing open Saturday at Fremont Speedway for Fort Ball Pizza Palace Night, the skies opened up, forcing track officials to cancel the night’s racing. It is the first rain-out of the 2014 season at “The Track That Action Built.”
