Shane Stewart had one of those weekends any racecar driver hates, having a very fast racecar, but nothing to show for it, as he lost an engine on Friday and had an incident on Saturday night, knocking him back to a fifth place finish.

Rebounding from a lackluster performance at the Grand Annual Classic, Shane Stewart put on quite the show at the George Tatnell Cup at Speedway City on Saturday night as he climbed from his 15th starting spot to score a fifth place finish with the WSS.

Though he had some struggles early in the week that carried over into The Classic, Shane Stewart and his Monte Motorsports team found something on Sunday night that saw him climb in points, and just narrowly miss out on climbing into the feature event.

Electing to take last week off to regroup and put together a new car benefitted the Monte Motorsports/Monster Energy team, as Shane Stewart returned to action with the World Series Sprint Car Series and pocketed a pair of top five finishes over the weekend.

Though the calendar year changed to 2013, Shane Stewart still remained solid as he opened the year with a fourth place finish at the Premier Speedway before charging to a sixth place finish at the Archerfield Speedway.

Over the past five nights, Shane Stewart and his Monte Motorsports team have been in action for four races, and though they don’t have the podium finishes they would like, the team has shown the strength of the Monster Energy/Milwaukee Tools/J&J No.7 as they have passed a ton of cars and currently sits 6th in series standings, as well as speedweek standings.

Shane Stewart closed out his 2012 American season at the World Finals over the weekend, and though he started it off well by qualifying excellent for both events on Thursday night, Friday and Saturday didn’t go as planned

Competing in the Short Track Nationals on Saturday night, where he finished ninth, Shane Stewart made an overnight trip to the Eldora Speedway wear he grabbed is 18th win of the season on Sunday!

There are a few races across the country that have eluded Shane Stewart, and the Trophy Cup in Tulare, CA is one of them.

Shane Stewart looked to defend his LoneStar Nationals win over the weekend at the LoneStar Speedway, but an opening lap wreck quickly dashed those hopes.

Returning to action with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Series for the first time since his dominating 360 Nationals win, Shane Stewart continued to hang tough with the series he conquered in 2011 as he scored a second and fourth place finish at the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO.

Climbing back aboard the Rich Farmer No.29x machine, Shane Stewart was hoping to duplicate the success the team had at Ohio Speedweek, unfortunately heavy rains played a big role on Saturday night at the Lernerville Speedway, and the 29x team had their issues.
