Civil War Series starts 2016 season Friday at Chico
A long winter comes to a close on Friday night, as the Civil War Series Presented by Flowmaster is set to kick off it’s 26th season at the Silver Dollar Speedway.

2016 season begins at Silver Dollar Speedway with Civil War spectacular
For the 54th consecutive season, the sights and sounds of dirt track auto racing will take place at the Silver Dollar Speedway. The first race of 2016 will take place this Friday night, March 25th, as the popular California sprint car Civil War Series will kick off the start of season. The wingless sprints will join the winged 360 sprint cars in a twin billing of exciting open wheel racing.

After a brief off season, the staff is pleased and excited to release the 2016 racing schedule. The famous quarter-mile clay oval speedway will host 31 events in 2016.

Fall Nationals Pays Tribute to Stephen Allard This Weekend
The final two nights of dirt track racing for 2015 will take place this Friday and Saturday night at the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico. On October 2nd and 3rd the 23rd Annual Fall Nationals will host a staggering amount of winged 360 sprint cars on both nights.

Allard scores 58th career victory at Silver Dollar Speedway
Chico’s Jonathan Allard secured his 58th career sprint car main event win Friday night at his home track Silver Dollar Speedway. On lap five, Allard took the lead away from Auburn’s Andy Forsberg and then went on to lead the final 20 laps with ease.
