I'd like to apologize for the lack of a column the past few weeks, but I've been very busy with school and going to the races so I actually can see what's going on first hand.  For the past five weeks the Slideways crew has visited four racetracks, watched six races, one practice, one rain out, and have traveled well over 1,600 miles doing so.  Needless to say, I've been very busy.

  • After driving through floods and the pot holes on Michigan’s Interstate 69 I made it to Eldora for the third week in a row for the Pennzoil World of Outlaws.  When the Slideways crew arrived at the track on Friday around 11:00 a.m., it was like we were transported back in time.

  • Kenny Jacobs decimated the field in the All Star sprint 30-lap feature Saturday night at Eldora Speedway. The win for Jacobs was his second All Star win of the season, and it was his first time back racing since a back injury earlier this season.
