ESS Extra – Autodrome Drummond, Drummondville, Quebec, Canada.

From Dean Reynolds

Under the promotion of Yan Bussière, Autodrome Drummond has stepped up to the next level. While holding the tradition of Quebec’s oldest running dirt track, the quick 3/8ths mile oval has changed with the times.

Bussiere competes in the modified division weekly but has assembled a strong staff to run the events while he concentrates on competing. The strongest aspect of Drummond is an aggressive schedule with several promotions tied into each night.

The Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints (ESS) will make two visits for stand alone events as well as be part of the second annual Quebec Sprint Car Nationals which will again pay $6,000 to win. But, the fun doesn’t stop there: Both the World of Outlaw Sprints (first time ever) and Late Models are on the slate as well as series races for the small blocks.

Drummond packs the fans in each Saturday night, from the fireworks to the dance music and also their energetic mascot, it’s a fun, party like atmosphere. Just like Granby, fans can have access to the pits and see their stars up and close. Victory lane is also on the grandstand side which brings the winners closer to their well earned applause.

The fans will be cheering on the local ESS stars such as Steve Poirier, Michael Parent, Alain Bergeron, Normand Beaudreault, Daniel Lampron, Dale Gosselin, Kayle Robidoux and several others.
