Inside Line Promotions – LA MONTE, Mo. (April 11) – For Danny Lasoski, Saturday was special for more than just one reason.

Lasoski led all 25 laps at L A Raceway in La Monte, Mo., to record the ASCS Warrior Region season-opening win. Not only did the veteran earn his second victory in as many weeks, but he did so in the presence of his family on his son’s 13th birthday.

“It was very, very special,” said Lasoski, whose son, Landon, also brought five of his friends to the race.

“I had my father with me and my son. It wasn’t a World of Outlaws race, but it doesn’t matter. To come in after Victory Lane and see all of those kids jumping up and down, it makes a dad very proud to see that.”

Lasoski drove from seventh to claim his heat race and then drew the No. 1 pill in the redraw to start the feature on the pole. He never looked back.

“I never saw or heard anybody,” Lasoski said. “There were numerous cautions, but everyone told us that we checked out every time.”

The special moment came a night after Lasoski had a frustrating performance at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., with the ASCS Midwest Region.

After driving from ninth to third in his heat race, Lasoski started the feature seventh. However, he ran out of tearoffs and the rough track sheered a bolt off the right rear arm of his sprint car. Lasoski, who was running eighth with seven laps remaining, pulled into the pits and finished 18th.

The longtime World of Outlaws driver, who ranks sixth in career WoO wins, will compete with the premier 410 sprint car tour this weekend. The schedule is for a race Friday at Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Ken., and Saturday at I-55 Speedway in Pevely, Mo.

“That’s where my heart is, racing with the best of the best,” he said. “We’re gonna take this car up there and do the best we can.”
