Bloomington, IN — (June 3, 2011) — Four exciting classes of racing returned to Bloomington Speedway for Mail Pak Night on Friday, June 3. The event showcased the Grimes Pools & Spas Sprint Cars, the Tire & Wheel Center UMP Super Stocks, the O’Neal Wood Products UMP Modifieds and the Chad’s Towing and Recovery Hornets. Bobby Stines, Troy Clark, Clint DeMoss and Jeremy Smith earned victories in each of their respective classes. Stines, of Martinsville Ind., flew around the top of the red clay oval and dominated for much of the Grimes Pools & Spas Sprint Car feature race to get the win. Stines started from the pole and led by nearly half a lap before multiple caution periods reined him back in and gave the rest of the field one last shot at victory. Brady Short, of Bedford Ind., hustled his way up from 10th to challenge for the lead. Short furiously hunted Stines down on every lap but wound up second to Stines at the line by less than half a car length.
“I was trying to drive the hell out of it and chase him down lap after lap,” Short said. “It was a hard fought second place.”
Clark, of North Vernon Ind., start
