Lucas Oil ASCS Awards Ceremony Set for November 20

TULSA, Okla. (October 4, 2011) – The 20th Annual ASCS Awards Banquet presented by Brodix has been set for Sunday evening, November 20, at the Desert Diamond Casino in Tucson, AZ.

The awards ceremony at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday will follow directly on the heels of the 44th Annual Western World Championships at Tucson’s USA Raceway, which will bring the 2011 season to a close for the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by K&N Filters National series.

The series $250,000 points fund plus contingencies will be distributed over the course of the evening to those eligible drivers and owners among the final top 15 in points.

Tickets for the 20th Annual ASCS Awards Banquet are available for just $15 and may be obtained by calling the ASCS office at 918-838-3777. Tickets must be ordered by November 10.

The Desert Diamond Casino is located at 7350 S. Nogales Highway in Tucson, AZ.

The Lucas Oil Sprint Cars have five big weekends of racing action remaining including Lone Star Speedway’s Lone Star Sprint Nationals (October 13-15), the 38th Annual Devil’s Bowl Winter Nationals (October 21-22), I-30 Speedway’s 24th Annual Short Track Nationals (October 27-29), Southern New Mexico Speedway (November 11-12) and then USA’s Western World Championships (November 17-19).

Shane Stewart currently holds a 97-point edge as he pursues a second Lucas Oil Sprint Car driver’s championship in three years, while the JJR No. 41 team holds the lead in the owner’s portion of the title chase.
