SYRACUSE, NY – This Saturday night the winged warriors of the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints (ESS) will return to the history rich, high banks of Lebanon Valley Speedway. The Howard Commander owned facility located in West Lebanon, NY has been showcasing exciting action since the early 50’s.
The event will mark just the fourth time the 30 year old sprint car organization has visited LebanonValley, but after the success of last year’s event it’s a making of an annual affair.
Leading the invasion will be current ESS point leader Justin Barger, the Montrose, NY chauffeur is also leading the Universal American Stars and Stripes Tour points with this event also awarding points there as well. Looking to challenge the point leader will be the rest of the top five in points which includes Shawn Donath, first year sprint campaigner Paul Kinney, Cory Sparks and Lance Yonge.
The list doesn’t stop there as defending champion Chuck Hebing, three-time ESS champ Steve Poirier, 2006 champion Alain Bergeron, Jessica Zemken, local favorite Matt Tanner, Jeff Cook, Michael Parent, Sammy Reakes IV, Kevin Ward Jr., Patrick Vigneault, Etienne Girard, Charlie Donk, Mike Stelter, Kyle Dutcher, Kory Gurney, Paul Habeck, James Hanson, Joe Trenca, Josh Pieniazek, Warren Alexson, Tommy Wickham, Jami Russell, Lebanon Valley regular Jason Herrington in the Doug Emery owned sprinter and more will be on hand.
The Lucas Oil Tour will be a part of LebanonValley’s regular Saturday night program which is headlined by the big block modifieds. Last year the stands were filled and this year should be no different.
