Tommy Tarlton was the odds on favorite to win the Johnny Key Classic in Watsonville, CA after winning three consecutive qualifiers, and Saturday night, his Corporate Lending America/Tachi Palace and Casino/Bandy and Associates machine was again dominant as he led all 50-laps to pick up the very prestigious win.

> The Terminator was pumped up as he exited his sleek looking ‘murdered-out’ machine.

> “I just won of the biggest races of my career,” he shouted. “I can’t thank Paul Baines enough for working his butt of for us and keeping this team going.”

> Being locked into the dash by way of winning just one of the qualifying events, Tarlton found himself on the front row alongside Brad Furr.

>
> Running second in the dash, Tarlton put his BG Lubricants/Sharp Insurance/K&N Products entry on the front row of the 50-lap feature event.

> As the race came to life, Tarlton beat Furr into the first corner and grabbed the early lead, as he began clicking off laps at a very brisk pace on a very racy track.

> The only thing that seemed to slow Tarlton on this night was a flurry of cautions, the majority coming during the final 25-laps.

> During the mandatory red on lap-25 Tommy had no real complaints as they made a couple quick adjustments, and refueled.

> Though it seemed like cautions fell every other lap, The Terminator was flawless as he cruised on to pick up his first career Johnny Key Classic win as he held off a charging Rico Abreu and Bud Kaeding.

> The win was Tarlton’s sixth of the year at the Ocean Speedway, and his seventh overall in 2012.

> “This team is just clicking right now,” said Tarlton. “The crew is busting tail on a weekly basis, and our results keeping all of our great sponsors happy, and to be honest I’m really at a loss of words right now.”
