San Bernardino, CA – (June 26, 2013)   – This coming Saturday night Dirt Entertainment presents the 5th round of URA Unlimited Sprints at the Macro Air Orange Show Stadium.  This will be the third race since the oval was converted from pavement to dirt. URA Board member Ron Schwarze has put up $200 for the hard charger of the night. The URA Unlimited Sprints will be highlighted with the California Lightning Sprints and Limited Sprints also on the program.
Last week, Paul Colston Transportation delivered the first loads of “Ascot” clay to the Macro Air Orange Show Stadium to be mixed in the racing surface that already has seen great racing! The clay was obtained from the same source that made the famous oval track surface at Ascot so racy.  It came from the cemetery across the street from the former legendary Ascot Park in Gardena, CA. Kevin Walker and the JMI (James McMinn Inc.) Equipment Rentals & Grading team are working the surface in preparation for this Saturday’s URA Open Wheel Spectacular which shapes up to be the best URA Bad Ass 410 Sprint Car Race yet!
Scheduled to appear at the racy oval are the Alexander silver bullets with Damion Gardner and Nic Faas in control, The Moose mobile with David Cardey up, the Williams clan of Cody, Austin, Logan and the Ripper, The Marvelous Matt Mitchell, Brody Roa’s green machine, Kenny Perkins, Super Rickie Gaunt, The Gansen Brothers, Tony Everhart, Wally Pankratz, Rick Hendrix, AJ Bender, a Seth Wilson Mohawk, Cal Smith and the rest of the West coast ALL STARS of unlimited sprint car racing. Mix in the limited midgets and an all-star cast of California Lightning winged Sprinters (including our on track announcer/racer Alex G “The Flying Greek”) and it will be a great night.
URA Point leader David Cardey will be out to keep that 24 point lead over Damion Gardner and will be challenged by the rest of the racers in the house on Saturday. Be sure to stay after the races to hit the pits to visit with your favorite drivers, get new t-shirts and autographs, it’s all good!
