Holly, MI — (July 6, 2014) — Coming this Saturday July 12th Berlin Raceway will showcase the ultra fast Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series (MSRXSS) for the first of two 2014 visits to the popular speed plant located in Marne, Michigan. The MSRXSS race teams from across the country and Canada will do battle competing for MSRXSS championship points and the MICHIGAN MUST SEE SEVEN mini-series points.

The July 12th Berlin Raceway event has significant importance as the fourth race of the MICHIGAN MUST SEE SEVEN mini-series that awards race teams for the 2014 MSRXSS events held in the state of Michigan. Kalamazoo Speedway and Berlin Raceway will host the remaining Michigan mini-series events this year.

Last year’s MSRXSS Berlin event saw Crawfordsville, Indiana’s Jacob Wilson, the 2013 and 2014 Pay Less Little 500 champion win the feature with a spectacular last lap pass of 2011 and 2012 MSRXSS champion Troy DeCaire. Entering Saturday, 2013 MSRXSS Champion Brian Gerster of Fisher’s, Indiana leads the points chase follow closely by Jimmy McCune of Toledo, Ohio who has put on an impressive display of consistent speed with one win, four second places and one third place out of the first six 2014 MSRXSS events. Troy DeCaire of Tampa, Florida, Dalevilleville, Indiana’s Aaron Pierce and Canadian Ryan Litt are in hot pursuit with only 57 points separating the top five championship points contenders.

MSRXSS will return to Berlin Raceway on August 23rd for the series 2014 CHAMPIONSHIP event featuring the unique ENGINE PRO “FAST CAR SLASH’” format. Last season the top two points contenders JoJo Helberg of Santa Rosa, California and Brian Gerster waged a torrid battle throughout the season entering the championship event at Berlin dead tied in points. After qualifying and heat races, in the closest championship battle in series history, both racers emerged still locked in a points tie. Gerster’s fourth place finish earned him the MSRXSS championship after the titanic year long battle with Helberg, who unfortunately experienced mechanical problems midway through the nights 30 lap feature.
