Huron, SD — (March 26, 2015) — Tickets are now on sale for the inaugural World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series event at Dakota State Fair Speedway in Huron, South Dakota, sponsored by Iverson’s Chrysler-Dodge of Huron & Mitchell on Saturday, June 20, and can be purchased online at http://slspromotions.ticketforce.com/DakotaStateFairSpeedway or by calling SLS Promotions at 815-344-2023.
The semi-banked track, located at the South Dakota State Fairgrounds, will mark the fifth venue in the state of South Dakota that the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series has raced at, dating back to 1979. A total of 15 drivers have won A-Feature events with the series in South Dakota.
Donny Schatz, the six-time and defending series champion, is the winningest active driver with the series in South Dakota, having earned four wins at two different tracks. Craig Dollansky, who returned to the series full-time in 2015, has been victorious twice in the state.
Dakota State Fair Speedway hosted the World of Outlaws Gumout Series in 2002, and current World of Outlaws of Outlaws point leader Shane Stewart competed in that event, along with fellow veteran driver Jason Sides. The track also has held a pair of World of Outlaws Late Model Series events, first in 2005, and again in 2010.
Also in action on June 20 will be 2013 series titlist Daryn Pittman, who drivers for Kasey Kahne Racing, along with his teammate Brad Sweet, as well as Joey Saldana, Paul McMahan, Kerry Madsen, David Gravel, Kraig Kinser, Logan Schuchart, Jacob Allen and rookie contender Jason Johnson.
