Fremont Speedway alters 2016 schedule

From Brian Liskai

Fremont, OH — (February 10, 2016) — After being notified by the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions the three sanctioned events in 2016 at Fremont Speedway were being cancelled, “The Track That Action Built” is working to revamp some of the upcoming season schedule.

“We would like to thank Tony Stewart and the All Star Circuit of Champions for the events held at Fremont Speedway during that organization’s history. Unfortunately we don’t have the same vision for our local teams and events as the leadership of the All Stars at this time, leading to them cancelling our prior arrangement for the 2016 season. My focus is and always will be with what is most important to maintain and grow 410 sprint car racing in our area,” said Fremont Speedway Promoter Rich Farmer who was the recipient of the Region 3 Promoter of the Year award for 2015.

“We are planning to continue these traditional weekends May 28th, June 25th, and Sept 17th with special racing programs that are very rich in Fremont Speedway’s 65 year history,” said Farmer.

“Fremont Speedway supported the All Star brand when it was being threatened and has held more All Star events than nearly every track in the country. We will continue to try and work with the organization going forward,” said Farmer.
