NATURAL BRIDGE, Va. (July 8, 2017) — The warm summer days bring on the dry slick clay tracks in the south and Brian Lawson loves coming to this one and it showed for his first win of the year. Heats started the night with Daren Bolac and Anthony Linkenhoker taking those. The feature was up next with Bolac on point and Linkenhoker outside as the green waved with Linkenhoker out first. Tony Harris and Brian Lawson got by Bolac and went after Linkenhoker with Brian Lawson already to second. Linkenhoker was staying steady but at halfway he couldn’t hold off Lawson and low and to the front he went leaving Linkenhoker to race with Harris for second. With ten to go Harris got by and set off after Lawson but it was not to be as Lawson was unstoppable on this night as he streaked under the waving checkered flag. At the line it was Brian Lawson, Tony Harris, Anthony Linkenhoker, Tom Humphries, Daren Bolac, Bill Rice, Chris Ware, Randy Sterling, Charlie Ware, Jack Rice, Neil Sandridge and Jeff Taylor. Next week is a double weekend as we head to Dixieland Speedway in Elizabeth City, NC. on Friday night July 14th and on Saturday night July 15th to Eastside Speedway in Waynesboro, Va.
