Angell Park’s Tribute to Mike Fell Memorial now pays $3,000 to win

Sun Prairie, Wis., Aug. 3—2015 Angell Park Speedway 2015 The Mid-State Equipment / Zimbrick Chevrolet of Sun Prairie Badger Midget Racing Series feature event will also pay $200 to start. The event will also features the Wisconsin Wingless Sprint Car Series, Midwest Sprintcar Association and the Wisconsin Dirt Racing Legends Series.
The Tribute to Mike Fell presented by Howard Law event honors the Sun Prairie driver who was the 1995 Badger Midget Rookie of the Year and Badger’s 1996 Most Improved Driver. Fell tragically lost his life at the track in an accident during the Trophy Dash on May 25, 1997.
“Not only was Mike one of my best friends, he was a great race car driver and an even better person. He was larger than life on and off the track. I am proud to be a part of this great Badger event honoring Mike” said race presenter Marty Howard of Howard Law. The Sainsbury Family has also added money to the event. Grandstands open at 4:30 pm, practice and qualifying beginning at 5:30 pm, with racing to follow.
The preceding evening Saturday August 12 Badger makes their first appearance at the Wilmot (Wis.) Raceway in four years with the return of the “Eighth annual Salute to Harry Turner”. Racing action will also include the Wisconsin Wingless Sprint Car Series, Modifieds, Street Stocks and Vintage Modifieds.
