THIRD ANNUAL PROMOTERS SUMMIT TO BE PART OF MOTORSPORTS 2010

From Ernie Saxton

Oaks, PA — With the sluggish economy, the slew of entertainment opportunities available to fans and the increased costs related to short track auto racing, the Third Annual Promoters Summit will bring together promoters and others involved in the industry as part of the 25th annual Motorsports 2010 Presented by StreetBlaze 100 Race Car & Trade Show on Friday, January 22nd.

The purpose of the Summit will be to discuss the problems and the opportunities facing the short track racing industry. Promoters and sanctioning organization officials are expected to participate in the Summit that will kick off at 9 AM and continue until Motorsports 2010 officially opens for business at 3 PM.

Putting new fans in the seats and having them return will be one of the key sessions of the Promoters Summit along with sessions that address group rates, the latest legal issues, safety, website pointers, sponsorship, using the media as their best selling tool, working with the racers and idea sharing.

A number of key people in the industry will have the opportunity to address attendees and there will be a couple of panel discussions that will include top racers and promoters.

“It is important that we gather all of the promoters and sanctioning organization officials in the market area together,” said Summit organizer Ernie Saxton. “It will give all involved to share ideas and address problems facing the industry in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic market areas. Everyone working together can be very beneficial to each other.”
In addition to the Promoters Summit registrants will be invited to a special K&K Insurance reception on opening night of the show and will have free admission to the three day Motorsports 2010 Presented by StreetBlaze 100 Race Car & Trade Show. The show is set to take place at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA, located just on the outskirts of Philadelphia.

Motorsports 2010 will open at 3 PM on Friday, January 22nd and continue until 4 PM, January 24th.
