HUPPUNEN HONOURED AS 2009 OHSWEKEN SPRINT CAR CHAMPION
The 2009 Ohsweken Speedway season was capped off in fine fashion on Saturday night with the annual awards banquet at the new Marritt Hall in Ancaster. Tom Huppunen was honoured as the second champion of the Corr/Pak Merchandising Sprint Car division, while Shayne Pierce was crowned ESSO Thunder Stocks champion, Mitchell Brown claimed the ESSO Mini-Stock title, and Karl Sault was honoured as champion of the Bomber division.

O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions drivers “impressive” at the World Finals
Even though the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions 2009 season is over, the drivers who finished in the top-ten in points with the series are out competing with the best in the 410 sprint car world and are letting their presence be known. Last weekend three drivers carrying the All Star Circuit of Champions banner competed at the World Finals at The Dirt Track at Lowes Motor Speedway and made the main event. Not only did one of them make the main event, but one came close to winning the final night in Charlotte.

Bolac Crowned 305 Sprint Car Champion at VMS
Bill Sawyers Virginia Motor Speedway wraps up the 2009 season by recognizing the top ten in each of the track’s divisions with special attention reserved for the 2009 champions.

Stanbrough won the Pacfic Coast Nationals at the Tulare Thunderbowl. Chad Boat, Bud Kaeding, Damion Gardner, and Bryan Clauson rounded out the top five.

Tyler Godwin put the finishing touches on the 2009 American Sprint Car Series Rebel Region campaign by racing to victory lane in Saturday night’s 25-lap season finale atop the 1/3-mile East Bay Raceway Park clay oval.

The Top Gun Sprints made their second visit of 2009 to Ocala Speedway on November 13, 2009 for their final race of the season. There were 19 cars at the track to give fans three heat races and a 25 lap feature race.
