OPPORTUNITIES TO LEARN ARE NUMEROUS AT MOTORSPORTS 2010 SHOW

OAKS, PA — For just the price of a ticket the Motorsports 2010 Presented by StreetBlaze 100 Race Car & Trade Shows offers close to 20 FREE seminars covering a variety of subjects.
Those taking advantage of the impressive slate of seminars will be able to learn more about setting up race cars, legal issues in motorsports, making power, shock absorber tips, the basics of race team sponsorship, racer safety and so much more.

Motorsports 2010 is a three day race car and trade show running from 3 p.m. on Friday, January 22nd through Sunday, January 24th at 4 p.m. The show, offering just about everything imaginable in motorsports, fills all the space that is available at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA.

Headlining the show will be autograph sessions with NASCAR Sprint Cup stars Kasey Kahne and Marcos Ambrose along with NASCAR legend Bobby Allison. In addition NASCAR Cup crew chief Frankie Kerr will be on hand along with drag racing star Morgan Lucas, national late model racing standout Josh Richards, World of Outlaws sprint ace Danny Lasoski, former NASCAR crew chief and now FOX and SPEED TV personality Jeff Hammond along with others will also be signing autographs.

More than 200 motorsports vehicles representing just about all segments of the sport will be on display. Many top regional and local racing stars will also be part of the show.

6:15 -7:15 PM: (Room 1) “LEGAL ISSUES IN RACING AND WITH THE RACING BUSINESS” – Presented by Meri Van Blarcom-Gupko of Wiley, Malehorn, Sirota and Raynes Attorneys.

7:30 – 8:30 PM (Room 1) “FASTRAK LATE MODEL SERIES AT N.J.’S NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY” — An overview of the rules of the crate motor Late Models that will be a regular division at New Egypt in 2010.

12:00 – 1 PM: (Room 2) RACE SAVER 305 SPRINT CARS – Region Director Joe Grandinetti outlines the basics of this series which will race at New Jersey’s Bridgeport and New Egypt Speedways in 2010.

12:30 – 1:30 PM: (Room 1) “Dirt Late Model Set-ups and Chassis
Tuning” — presented by Jim Bernheisel of Bernheisel Race Components
Lazer Chassis.

1:15 – 2:15 PM: (Room 2) TAKING PHOTOS AT THE TRACK – Geared toward the “amateur” or the person looking to enter the business, this seminar provides “the basics” about race track photography. One lucky attendee will get a chance to take photos at the BPG Racing Ms. Motorsports competition, up front with the professionals! Hosted by award winning racing photographer Bob Yurko.

5:30 – 6:30 PM: (Room 1) STEEL-BLOCK LATE MODELS – Danny Wilson, promoter of the “Steel Block Bandits” Late Model Series, discusses the exciting future, rules and information of this type of racing.

6:30 – 7:30 PM (Room 2) Race Track Public Relations/ Media Workshop — Open discussion between racing writers/photographers and track/series Press Directors as to professionalism, credential usage, event coverage. Hosted by Lincoln, Pa., Speedway press director Wayne Harper.

6:45 – 7:45 PM (Room 1) GETTING STARTED – “The Basics of Racing” presented by Area Auto Racing News technical writer Sleepy Gomez. Emphasis on the Street Stock/Pure Stock/Factory Stock divisions, both dirt and pavement, with information on building the car, set-ups, selecting the right parts; and following the all-important safety rules.
