The famed Bay Cities Racing Association 2010 Midget series begins its 67th season of racing this Sunday, March 28 at the smooth and fast 1/3-mile Chowchilla Speedway in Chowchilla, CA.
Among the entries will be reigning BCRA champion “Mr. Excitement” David Prickett of Fresno campaigning the Neverlift Motorsports #15 Stealth/Van Dyne, 2008 BCRA Midget champion “Young Lion” Nick Foster, Jr. piloting Jim Fowler’s #1 Zero-Zero Motorsports Beast/Esslinger, 7-time BCRA champion “Ageless Wonder” Floyd Alvis piloting his #18 Champion Automotive Stealth/Esslinger, Visalia’s Scott Nail in his own #16 Stealth/Riolo Chevy, Scott Pierovich in his #35 Good Guys Rod & Customs-Mid Coast Transportation Spike/Bob Wirth Mopar, former BCRA car owner champion Bill Lindsey of San Carlos in Stu Donaldson’s #8x Stealth/Pontiac, Bakersfield’s Sean Dodenhoff in his own #9d Spike/Fontana RHINO, Pleasant Hill’s Mike Donaldson in Stu Donaldson’s #8 Stealth/Gaerte, Chico’s Dillon Silverman in the RAM Motorsports #98 Stealth/RRE Chevy EcoTec, Tom Doherty in the Chris Walker-Bay Muffler #10 Stealth/Esslinger, Ryan Shupe in the Chris Walker-Bay Muffler #10x Stealth/Esslinger and Cameron Park’s Lonnie Alton in Laura Alton’s #5a Stealth/SCREAM SuperFocus.
The race will be the first of 21 total races and first of four BCRA Midget appearances at Chowchilla in 2010.
Joining the Midgets on Saturday will be the Western Modifieds, Spec Sprints, Super Stocks, Hobby Stocks and 4-Bangers. Adult tickets are $10 with kids tickets $5. Grandstands open at 12 noon, with racing starting at 1 p.m. on the special Sunday afternoon race.
