ROSSBURG, Ohio (May 7, 2010) – When the Outlaw Thunder presented by Goodyear fires up for competition among the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series competitors at Tony Stewart’s Eldora Speedway, a special group of talented and knowing men and women will be in the grandstands watching.

The two-day event will be held May 7-8 at the famed half-mile facility in western Ohio. The field will be headed by 20-time champion Steve Kinser and other greats of the broad slide sport.

Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for the rear wheel positions in WoO Sprint Car racing. Most of the teams use Goodyear front tires as well, but the front positions are open to competition among tire makers.

Many of the men and women who build the Goodyear tires the WoO teams are using this season will be in attendance, watching the tires they built sling mud and propel the cars and drivers around Eldora’s high banks.

“Goodyear invites a limited number of racers to our Innovation Center Manufacturing plant in Akron every year,” said Justin Fantozzi, Goodyear’s marketing manager. “Our factory folks don’t get many chances to go to the races. This weekend at Eldora, our builders, laborers, process monitors and everyone else who participates in building our Goodyear Dirt Sprint Eagles will have a chance to watch their creations in action.”
