BLOOMINGTON, Ind., Aug. 10, 2010 – On a night when Bloomington Speedway will be receiving special recognition from Circle Track Magazine, the track itself will be paying special attention and extra money to the teams and drivers of the American Modified Series Friday night, Aug. 13

Bloomington Speedway’s regular O’Neal Wood Products UMP Modified racers will be competing against the American Modified Series cars and stars for a larger purse with $1,500 being paid to the winner. In addition to Modified racing, the Grimes Pools and Spas Sprint Cars and the Tire and Wheel Center UMP Indiana Super Stocks will also be racing Friday night.

Circle Track Magazine, the most popular and comprehensive technical magazine dedicated to oval racing in the U.S., has chosen Bloomington Speedway as a stop on its 2010 AMSOIL Great American Circle Track Tour. Some of the best oval tracks across the country have been selected by Circle Track to be on the tour.

Friday night, Circle Track Senior Technical Editor Bob Bolles will be at Bloomington Speedway to talk with race fans, the teams and drivers gathering information for upcoming articles in Circle Track. Bolles will arrive in a custom AMSOIL Great American Circle Track Tour Bus, which will be on display in the spectator area.

Spectator gates Friday night open at 5:30 p.m., hot laps are at 6:30 with racing beginning at 7:30. General admission is $12 for adults, and kids under 12 are always FREE general admission at Bloomington Speedway with a general admission paying adult.
