NATIONAL SPRINT CAR MUSEUM ACTIVITIES WRAP UP ON SATURDAY WITH CONCLUSION OF 50th GOODYEAR KNOXVILLE NATIONALS

KNOXVILLE, IOWA (August 13, 2010) – The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum comes to life on Saturday, August 14, with its final events of the 2010 Goodyear Knoxville Nationals. The museum’s annual memorabilia auction takes place on the air-conditioned second floor at 12:30 p.m., with many items being auctioned from the worlds of sprint car racing and stock car racing, past and present. Also, the International Reel Wheel Film Festival, celebrating auto racing in film, will screen three feature movies: “Racing Dreams” (2009), “Short Track” (2008), and “Red Dirt Rising” (2010). In addition, 1996 Knoxville World Challenge champion Danny Smith will be in the Trostle Garage signing autographs at 11:30 a.m., as will Knoxville historians Bob Wilson & Bill Wright at 1:30 p.m., and two-time (1977, ’80) Knoxville Nationals-winning car owner Bob Trostle at 3:30 p.m., respectively.
