Top Gun Sprint Car Series will return to the super fast ½ mile clay oval at Volusia Speedway Park on September 18th. This will be the third and final appearance for the winged sprint at Volusia Speedway Park in the 2010 season.
Ryan Partin, the 2009 point champion, and Tim George are tied in the points race with five events remaining in the 2010 season. Shawn Murray is in third place only 32 point behind. Other drivers that will be trying to improve in the points race are John Crowder, Tony Agin, Mike Schroeder, Danny Martin Jr., Gene Lasker, Darrin Miller, Brandon Grubaugh, Harley Zimmerman, Rich Alexander, Shane Kreidler, Tim Grubaugh, Troy Knowles, Rich Pratt, Mark Ruel Jr. and Rocky Sullivan to name a few. Forty five different drivers have raced in the series so far this season.
The night of racing will include Top gun Sprints, Sportsman, Modified and Street Stocks. Pit gate will open at 4:00pm, Grandstands at 5:30pm, racing starts at 7:30pm. www.volusiaspeedwaypark.com or www.topgunsprints.com
