The AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series returns to Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway October 9 in a tuneup for the upcoming November “Budweiser Oval Nationals.” Mike Spencer, seeking a record third series title, leads Danny Sheridan in the most recent standings by 226 points.
Ventura, Calif.’s Cory Kruseman grabbed another feature event at his “home” track Saturday night, winning the 30-lap AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint car feature at Ventura (Calif.) Raceway. Kruseman took the lead from Josh Ford on lap four and led the rest of the way in his Lucas Oil/Agromin Viper/Mopar. Tony Jones, Spencer, Brandon Thomson and Ford rounded out the top five at the checkered flag. Matt Mitchell was the fastest qualifier.
Kruseman’s victory finds him third in the latest series standings, 43 behind Sheridan.
