Dalton Armstrong of New Castle, Ind. is the 2010 USAC Regional and USAC/WOMS Midget Champion after finishing second in Saturday night’s series finale at Berlin Raceway in Marne, Mich.
Armstrong trailed Daniel Bedford to the checkered flag in the 25-lap race and outpointed Dillon Welch for both titles. The Regional and WOMS series will combine for a special “non-points” race October 16 in conjunction with the “Rollie Beale 150” USAC Silver Crown race at the Toledo (Ohio) Speedway.
Bedford, of Brentwood, Calif., took the 25-lap Berlin feature in his F & F Mechanical/Esslinger Beast, leading the final five laps after getting the lead from Welch, who eventually ended up 11th in the finishing order. Armstrong was second, followed by Chris Phillips, Grant Galloway and Jim Anderson.
