From J.G. Racing
With just a single Saturday to run this past weekend at Lucas Oil Speedway JGRacing could concentrate solely on that single night. What they did was grab another solid top-10 finish as the season begins to wind down.
Saturday evening in the sixth heat race of the event Darren started in the third position needing to move forward or be relegated to one of the three B-Mains for that night. Using the top shelf of the track the blue and black 3g made it to 2nd place handing the team an outside row 8 slot for feature time.
For the A, which came a little late due to Mother Nature, Darren knew that once again his car would be fast with Joe and Tim’s hard work. At the drop of the green flag a slight stumble caused the JGRacing entry to lose a few spots in the early laps. Using the bottom and finding it hard to pass this position was held for the first 8 laps. It was at this time Darren began to utilize the top side once again and the march to the front was on. Now with just three laps left and on the final restart the car stumbled slightly again dropping the 3g back a few positions but the team still garnered a top-10 finish for the evening.
This week’s Red Line Oil question is; what year did Darren win the very first Old Spice Sizzler at Eldora Speedway? This week’s winner will receive a Hoosier Tire Hat. Please send answers to zeakemedia@gmail.com
Darren Long has t-shirts available in all sizes. Stop at the trailer and ask for one, prices are $15.
