Rio Vista, CA – November 4, 2010…The Golden State King of the West Sprint Car Series announced today that it has signed an agreement with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company to be the official tire supplier for the 2011 racing season.
“Goodyear has made a significant investment in sprint car racing over the last year and we’re happy to bring them on board with the Golden State King of the West Sprints,” said series managing director Dan Simpson. “Goodyear has made tires that have created some fantastic racing across the country and having them associated with us will be a big benefit to our overall marketing program.”
Goodyear grabbed the attention of the dirt track racing world this past year when a number of sprint car sanctioning bodies and tracks around the country announced they would partner with the company. The announcements, especially that Goodyear would sponsor the 2010 Goodyear Knoxville Nationals continued the tire maker’s long tradition of dirt track success.
