Wilke-PAK Motorsports and driver Jerry Coons Jr. have three remaining races in their efforts to capture the 2010 USAC National Midget Series Championship.Wilke-PAK is second place only 62 points out the lead in Car Owner Points, while Coons trails leader Bryan Clauson by 98 markers in the drivers standings. A total of 214 points are available at the three events.
The team’s recent event saw Kody Swanson capture the SpeedFest 2010, USAC Western Midget Series event at The Bullring @ Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Oct. 30 as part of the NHRA weekend at the facility. Swanson now has two victories and one third place finish in three events for Wilke-PAK this season.
The USAC National slate continues on Saturday Nov. 13 with Coons behind the wheel at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare,Calif., marking the first ever USAC National Midget event at the facility. One week later the beautiful Oceanside Ventura Raceway will host the ARP/J.W. Mitchell Fall Classic, which will pays $10,000 to win. The season is set to conclude at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale California on Thanksgiving Night Nov. 25 with the “70th annual Turkey Night Grand Prix”.
