Rio Vista, CA – December 21, 2010…With the preliminary schedule already released the Golden State King of the West Sprint Car Series has also announced a couple of other major prizes that will be up for grabs at the end of next season.
Having just recently gotten back from the annual Performance Racing Industries trade show in Orlando, Florida, KWS team members have been hard at work trying to solidify things for next year, which included releasing the tentative 2011 schedule this past week.
In addition to a much increased point fund the Golden State King of the West Sprints will also be giving away a complete sprint car with motor at the year-end awards banquet, valued at $75,000. Member drivers with the series that make 95% of the point racing events in 2011 will be eligible for the drawing.
A separate drawing will also be held at the year-end banquet that will award a driver a complete race motor. Just like the first giveaway, member drivers with the series that make 95% of the events in 2011 will be eligible for the drawing.
The overall cash point fund for the Golden State King of the Sprint Car Series has been more than doubled from last year, as it currently sits at over $100,000 and will also feature more than $300,000 in contingency and prizes.
The standard overall A-main purse has been raised to $18,250 with a minimum $500-to-start each night. The Last Chance Showdown with the series will also feature a total payout of $3,250 with $350 going to the first non-transfer and a guaranteed $200-to-start the last chance race.
