WEEDSPORT, NY – Jan. 14, 2011 – Northeast race fans will have the opportunity to take a close look at DIRTcar Racing during the 26th edition of the Motorsports 2011 Presented by Small Engine Fuels Race Car & Trade Show, which runs from Jan. 21-23 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, Pa.
DIRTcar Racing will have a strong presence at the traditional mid-winter motorsports extravaganza. A sprawling display area will give fans a close-up look at some of the cars that compete under the organization’s banner and weekend-long contests will give visitors a chance to win free race tickets to 2011 events and other great prizes.
Dominating the DIRTcar Racing booth will be a 358-Modified driven by Rick Laubach of Hellertown, Pa., and the dirt Late Model steered by 2009 World of Outlaws Late Model Series Rookie of the Year Russell King of Bristolville, Ohio. Laubach will display the Supreme Manufacturing No. 27 that he piloted to a third-place finish in last October’s ‘Salute to the Troops’ 358-Modified 150 at the New York State Fairgrounds one-mile oval while the 21-year-old King will debut a new graphics scheme on the King Brothers Racing Rocket Chassis No. 56 that he plans to campaign on this year’s WoO LMS.
Race fans who visit the DIRTcar Racing booth will be given an opportunity to win tickets to the third annual All-Star 100 – a Super DIRTcar Series big-block Modified blockbuster that this year will be run on May 29 at Rolling Wheels Raceway in Elbridge, N.Y. – and the historic 40th annual Super DIRT Week set for Oct. 5-9 at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, N.Y. Fans can also purchase tickets to the All-Star 100, Super DIRT Week and the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series event at Rolling Wheels Raceway on Oct. 8 and claim prizes such as can koozies and t-shirts. “We are giving fans more opportunities to win tickets to our premier events in 2011,” stated Rolling Wheels Raceway General Manager Jeff Hachmann. “Tickets are being given away to the annual All-Star 100 all three days of the show, along with a grand prize package that will include tickets to the All-Star 100 and the 40th edition of Super DIRT Week going to one lucky fan on Sunday.” Not only will fans and competitors have a chance to win great prizes at the DIRTcar Racing display booth, but they’ll also have a chance to visit with many DIRTcar staff members who will be present to answer questions about the 2011 season and explain rules and regulations to interested competitors. The latest schedules for DIRTcar’s marquee tours – the Super DIRTcar Series for big-block Modifieds, the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and the World of Outlaws Late Model Series – will also be available for fans and racers to pick up. And the DIRTcar Racing booth will host several autograph sessions during the weekend, including appearances by Ms. Motorsports 2010 Danielle Wilson on Fri., Jan. 21, from 6-7 p.m. and Sun., Jan. 23, from 12 noon-1 p.m. In addition, on Sat., Jan. 22, King will formally meet fans from 12 noon-1 p.m. and Laubach will sign autographs from 5-6 p.m., while Stewart Friesen, the winner of the 2010 SEF Small Engines Fuels 200 at the Syracuse Mile, will join Ms. Motorsports 2010 for Sunday’s autograph session.
More DIRTcar Racing drivers are expected to visit the booth to meet fans and sign autographs, so fans should watch for announcements in the days leading up to the Motorsports 2011 show and stop by the display for the latest schedule.
