LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. (Feb. 27) – Although Logan Forler has already raced four events this season against elite competition, this week’s test is a different challenge.
Forler, who opened the season with four ASCS National Tour races before having last weekend off, starts his 410 schedule on Wednesday and Thursday with the World of Outlaws at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
“We definitely have some stuff to learn,” Forler said. “We’re just taking baby steps into the 410 deal. The Outlaws are a tough deal to run with, but you gotta start somewhere.”
In his last two races, the 17-year-old from Lake Havasu City, Ariz., recorded his two best ASCS National Tour finishes with a sixth and ninth at USA Raceway in Tucson, Ariz.
Also, Forler ended last season with a 19th-place ASCS National Tour finish at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and he looks forward to the different type of track that the World of Outlaws will prepare.
“I’m excited that the Outlaws are doing the track prep work,” he said. “It’ll be good to test myself against those guys.”
Forler, who is competing for the ASCS National Tour’s Rookie of the Year, plans on racing in approximately a dozen World of Outlaws’ races this season.
Forler would like to thank his sponsors, including Steve Forler Trucking, Shark Racing Engines, Line-X, RN Smith Harvesting and Atomic Designs.
