SYRACUSE, NY – It’s a new sponsorship program but a long-time returning sponsor. Gilbert Lazare and his Mohawk Racing Parts will again be part of the sponsorship fold for the 2011 Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints racing season.
Lazare and his Hogansburg, NY based parts company has been a big supporter of several forms of dirt track divisions which includes the winged warriors of ESS. New for this year will be the Mohawk Racing Parts “Pick 5” Award. The driver that finishes in fifth place at each ESS full point A-Main will receive an extra $50 cash.
The “Pick 5” award is joining an already long list of nightly sponsors which adds to the largest cash payout of any 360 sprint car organization in the northeast and Canada. With the ever increasing costs to produce a race team, ESS is very thankful to a long list of supporters in giving away awards to help combat those cost.
Mohawk Racing Parts was founded in 1978 and continues to supply racers with all forms of parts and supplies. It’s also the title sponsor of the Mohawk Racing Parts Pro Stock Series and you can find their parts truck each and every week at the Mohawk International Raceway. The 28th Anniversary Tour is just one week away (Sat. Apr. 30) with the $2,000 to win Riverside Bar and Grill event at the Can-Am Motorsports Park. The opening event will be a vital stop on the 29 race date tour as it will award points towards the overall Lucas Oil points, the Northwood 2 Construction/LaSalle Motorsports Canadian Sprint Series and the SUNY Canton Series.
