SYRACUSE, NY – For the fourth season in a row, HG Associates out of Pottstown, Pa. will sponsor the nightly fast time award for the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints (ESS). The driver that posts the fastest time during the 25 lap A-Main will receive $25 cash.
HG is owned by Harlan “Gus” Gustafson Jr. and builds motors for all forms on auto racing including several of the 360 cubic inch engines throughout the ESS ranks. With the continuation of the fast time award, it becomes a part of several nightly awards on top of the already lucrative ESS nightly purse.
HG Associates, Inc. was formed in 1969 as a proprietorship with Harlan Gustafson , Jr. as the sole proprietor. In 1979 the company became incorporated in the state of Pennsylvania. The company employs from six(6) to twelve(12) people as engineers, technicians, machinists, and clerical people. The company occupies a building at 114 Airport Rd., Limerick Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania of 12000 sq. ft. in area.

The 2011 season for the Lucas Oil tour is already underway with a very successful opener at the Can-Am Motorsports Park where Alain Bergeron’s return to the tour netted him the A-Main victory. The traditional stops of Fonda and Utica-Rome on Memorial Day are next up on the slate.
