July 13, 2011 – Brandon Wimmer and his #7TW have parted ways with the Alan Barton Motorsports team and is seeking other opportunities. Meanwhile, he has secured a ride for this weekend’s King’s Royal at the Eldora Speedway near Rossburg, Ohio with another team. Earlier this season, he finished twelfth with the World of Outlaws at the high-banked ½-mile oval.
“I’d like to thank Hedman Husler Hedders for the opportunity to work with them earlier this year and I wish them nothing but luck with their future plans,” says Brandon. “I am parting ways with Alan Barton Motorsports and am looking forward to getting back in a racecar this weekend at the Kings Royal with a new team. I am working on plans for both the 360 and 410 Nationals, and I am also looking for a ride for the rest of the season.”
The team recorded strong top five finishes earlier this season in the Monster Energy™ Sprint Car Series opener in West Burlington, Iowa, and at the Knoxville Raceway. 2010 ended strongly after qualifying for the Knoxville Nationals, and Brandon showed his versatility by finishing fourth in the Short Track Nationals amongst 125 entries.
Brandon would like to thank the sponsors who have stood by him for many years, including Butlerbuilt, Simpson, Gaerte Engines, Red Line Oil, Maxim Chassis, All Star Performance, KSE, Real Wheels, Astro Titanium, Wilwood, HRP wings, Winters and WRT Web designs.
