Belleville, Kan., July 19—Former Belleville Midget Nationals Champions Jerry Coons Jr., and Bobby East are among the early entries for the 34th Annual RevHoney Belleville Midget Nationals on Aug. 5-6 at the Belleville High Banks. For the second straight year the event will be officiated by the National Championship Racing Association (NCRA) and The Belleville High Banks Race Committee. Nearly $90,000 in purse money has been posted for this event.
Coons will be trying to become the event’s first three-time winner. Coons will be driving for New Zealand’s Danny Lendich in the Wendy’s Sponsored Spike/Esslinger#3nz. Coons captured the event in 2005 driving for Venture Racing and then again in 2007 for Wike-PAK Motorsports.
East who won the 2004 event will be driving the familiar Terry Klatt Beast#4 for the event. East also has four preliminary night feature wins at the track. Entries for the event now total fourteen cars and are on pace to match last year’s total of 36 cars. A complete pre-deadline entry list will be released on Thursday July 21.
General Admission tickets for all events are sold first-come first-served on race day at the ticket gate. Reserved Seating tickets is available for the RevHoney Belleville Midget Nationals. General admission available only if the event is not sold out, and available only on the day of the race at the track ticket office (bottom 3 rows only).
