Battling Through Adversity to Finish Tenth

From CDR

The month of July, the first trip of the season through Canada, and six events in nine days, the Big Game Treestands #7 team completed all three of these tasks on Saturday as they traveled further north into Quebec where action resumed at Autodrome Drummond.

With a small field of 22 sprinters assembled at the 4/10-mile facility located outside of Drummondville, Dollansky was the second-to-last car out to qualify. Unfortunately, as Dollansky brought the Aggressive Hydraulics Maxim up to speed the rearend broke before a lap was complete. Scored as the 19th qualifier with no time, Dollansky was scheduled to race in the first heat but when the #7 returned to the pit area after qualifying the crew realized that the motor was affected by the blown rearend. Unable to make the call for the heat race, the crew proceeded to change the powerplant under the hood and shift their attention to the main event.

In the 35-lap A-Main the Karavan Trailers backed sprinter started inside of row ten. When the green flag flew Dollansky slowly started to make his way to the front as he raced into thirteenth by lap 13 and gained two more positions six laps later. The remaining laps would see ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ close in on Chad Kemenah for tenth, a spot he would assume before the checkered flags flew. The twenty-sixth top-ten finish of the season also earned Dollansky the KSE Hard Charger Award.

The Big Game Treestands #7 team will now make their way back into the USA as action resumes on Friday, August 5th, at Bloomington Speedway in Indiana followed by the ‘Ironman 55’ on Saturday at I-55 Raceway in Missouri.
