TULSA, Okla. (September 6, 2011) – Action continues for the ASCS Southern California Region this Saturday night as the series takes to the 3/8-mile Giant Chevrolet Kings Speedway clay oval in Hanford, CA.
Following Saturday’s Kings card, only the October 8 event at Tulare’s Thunderbowl Raceway remains on the inaugural slate of ASCS SoCal competition.
Tommy Tarlton has found the ASCS Southern Cal Region to his liking with four wins in six events, including the most recent outing at Kings Speedway on August 20. Other ASCS SoCal winners this season include Cory Eliason and Bud Kaeding.
Tarlton currently holds a 262-point advantage over Eliason, with Albert Pombo, Koen Shaw and Steven Kent rounding out the top five in points.

The inaugural slate of ASCS Southern California action includes nine nights of winged Sprint Car competition at three tracks including Kings Speedway, Tulare’s Thunderbowl Raceway and Santa Maria Speedway.
The 2011 season marks the 20th year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing for the American Sprint Car Series, with approximately 200 nights of competition at tracks throughout the nation and into Canada. Anchored by the Lucas Oil Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Filters, ASCS also consists of ten different Regions throughout the nation.
