NYGAARD, SHIRSHEKAN, TATNEL AND DOBMEIER SCORE WINS FOR J&J

From J&J

McKENZIE, TN – Four J&J Auto Racing drivers were winners this past weekend in Sprint car action on dirt. Wade Nygaard made it two straight at River Cities Speedway, while Mark Shirshekan won his first feature event of the season in thrilling style at St. Francois County Raceway in Farmington, Mo. Brooke Tatnell continued his domination of the UMSS by winning the Richert Memorial at Cedar Laek Speedway, and Mark Dobmeier earned his 17th victory of 2011 and the track championship at Huset’s Speedway in South Dakota on Sunday night.

RIVER CITIES SPEEDWAY

After picking up the Sprint car feature event at River Cities Speedway two weeks ago, Wade Nygaard made it two straight on Saturday night behind the wheel of the No. 9 J&J. Nygaard was victorious in the Sprint car portion of the program and will look to close the season at RCS with his third consecutive victory on Friday night.

ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY RACEWAY

Leading the final lap is all the matters and that’s the only lap Mark Shirshekan led in his No. 3 J&J. He used a final corner pass to earn his first victory of the season in the 25-lap main event at St. Francois County Raceway in Farmington, Mo. Shirshekan was steady throughout the race and used lapped traffic that slowed leader Joey Montgomery to make his winning move in turns three and four. Shirshekan took the checkered flag first to earn the victory.

UMSS RICHERT MEMORIAL – CEDAR LAKE SPEEDWAY

Brooke Tatnell scored another Upper Midwest Sprintcar Series (UMSS) victory this past Saturday night at Cedar Lake Speedway. Tatnell drove Duane Nelson’s No. 14 J&J into the lead on lap eight of the 20-lap race and raced to his sixth UMSS victory in seven starts this season.

“It is an honor to win this race,” said Tatnell, following the win. “I have great respect for the Richert family and their place in the sport of Sprint car racing. I want to thank the entire family, all of the sponsors who contributed, and my car owner and crew for the opportunity. In this area, there are three races I want to win more than any other, and I have accomplished that goal in winning the Richert Memorial, Kouba Memorial and Woodke Memorial.”

HUSET’S SPEEDWAY

Mark Dobmeier continued his incredible season with a victory in Sunday night’s 20-lap Outlaw Sprint Car feature victory at Huset’s Speedway. Dobmeier piloted the familiar Lunstra/Dobmeier Motorsports No. 13L J&J to the win in the Season Championships feature and allowed him to clinch his fourth Huset’s track championship.

“It’s just been a great season,” said Dobmeier, who recorded his eighth win at the track this year. “I just have to thank (co-owner) Dave Lunstra and all my crew for all their help this year.”
