The mighty Midgets of the Bay Cities Racing Association continue their 71st season with a trip to the 3/8 mile paved Shasta Raceway Park in Redding, CA. This will be the 3rd event for the BCRA Midgets at SRP this year with Chad Nichols picking up both wins thus far. Chad also won this past weekends event at Madera Speedway and will be piloting his own #17n Beast/Esslinger this weekend as well.
Challenging Chad for the victory will be 2011 BCRA Championship leader Nick Foster Jr. in the Jim Fowler #1 Beast/Gearte, Nick Chivello in the Blackwell Motorsports #27b Beast/Esslinger, Rick Faeth in his own #3 Stealth/Gaerte, Dan Parker in the Bob Roza #20 Stewart/Esslinger, Travis Berryhill in the Paul Eskesen #10c Beast/Mopar, Kevin Morris in the Del Morris #17k Beast/Esslinger, Dillon Silverman in the RAM Racing #4a Spike/Ecotec, Floyd Alvs in his #83 Stealth/Buick, Devin LaHorgue in the Rick Faeth #2 Stealth/V4, Rick Holbrook in the Peggy Holbrook #6 Stealth/Ecotec, Michael Snider in the Lauren Snider #6k Stewart/Mopar, Grant Koontz in the David Strimling #5 Stewart/Gaerte and Floyd Alvis’s #18 Stealth/Van Dyne with a driver to be named later.
Pit gates open at 1:00pm with practice beginning at 2:00pm and qualifying at 5:30pm.
