KNOXVILLE, IOWA (October 31, 2011) – With National Sprint Car Hall of Fame inductee Sammy Swindell having claimed the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) Short Track Nationals in Little Rock, Arkansas, museum special events coordinator David Herrmann now heads east to the fifth annual Lowes Foods World of Outlaws (WoO) World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte with the National Sprint Car Museum’s raffle sprint car. The brand-new Eagle Motorsports sprinter with its 410-cubic-inch Don Ott Racing Engines powerplant will be on display on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 3-4-5.
Museum executive director Bob Baker said today, “Thanks to the efforts of the World Racing Group, this weekend has become an event, more than just a series of races. Our non-profit museum foundation will again have its fall quarterly board of directors meeting in conjunction with the WoO Sprint Car Series finale, as we try to rotate it between the World Finals on the east coast and the Perris Oval Nationals on the west coast. And our brand-new number 9 Eagle/Ott sprint car will be on display all three nights in Charlotte, allowing sprint car, dirt late model and big-block modified fans a chance to see it in-person before they buy a raffle ticket to win it. Look for several surprises this weekend, too, at our booth at The Dirt Track at Charlotte!”
Besides builders Eagle Motorsports and Don Ott Racing Engines, participating manufacturers include Goodyear, Dan Olson Racing Products, T&D Machine Products, Moose Blocks, Del West Engineering, Engler Machine & Tool, Barnes, TelTac, Longacre, HRP Wings, Weld Wheels, Schroeder, Winters Performance, FK Rod Ends, Pro Shocks, Wilwood Brakes, KSE, Fuel Safe, Simpson, Astro Titanium, AutoMeter, Brodix, Callies, Dyer’s Top Rods, All-Pro, Shaver/Wesmar Gear Drives, MSD Ignition, Total Seal Piston Rings, Schoenfeld, GS Products, ButlerBuilt Seats, Waterman Racing Components, Brown & Miller Racing Solutions, RJR Components, P-Ayr, Sweet Manufacturing, OTR Filters and Mahle.
