KNOXVILLE, IOWA (November 28, 2011) – The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum will be taking it’s Eagle Motorsports/Don Ott Racing Engines number 9 raffle (sprint) car to this weekend’s Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show in Orlando. Museum special events coordinator David Herrmann will be present with the car in booth number 5710 in the Orange County Convention Center, December 1-2-3.
The 24th annual show, professionally organized by Steve Lewis, is open only to those within the motorsports industry, worldwide. According to museum executive director Bob Baker, “It is hard to believe, but this will mark the twenty-fourth consecutive year that we will be exhibiting at the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show. G. Wayne Hall represented the museum at the very first show in Louisville in 1988, and Tom Schmeh and I have been keeping the tradition going every year since, with the help of Steve Lewis and his tremendous team at PRI. We were very proud to partner with them at the 2011 Knoxville Nationals by hosting the inaugural ‘PRI Salute to Sprint Car Builders & Manufacturers’ reception, which we hope will be an annual affair.”
In addition to the winged 410-cubic-inch Don Ott-powered Eagle Motorsports sprint car grand prize, other prizes to be awarded on December 21, 2012, are Bell GTX.2 Helmet from Bell Racing USA, Design 500 Racewear driver’s uniform, DeeZee Manufacturing toolbox, Xtreme Fuel Stick fuel management tool, and a racer’s package from Speedway Motors. An ‘early bird’ drawing will also be held on December 31, 2011, with those winning tickets being put back in the barrel, thus making them eligible to be drawn again on December 21, 2012. Amongst the ‘early bird’ prizes are two tickets for the 2012 Knoxville Nationals courtesy of Knoxville Raceway, two tickets for the 2012 Kings Royal weekend courtesy of Eldora Speedway, two $100 gift certificates courtesy of Williams Grove Speedway, and two 5-night ticket packages for the 2012 UNOH DIRTcar Nationals courtesy of the World of Outlaws (WoO).
